Fresh pulled directly from the woodwork is this incredibly rare SS visor cap Totenkopf (skull) for the visor cap. Early nickel plated tombac material, the reverse would have had a vertical pin that has been lost to time. The caps original lacquer finishes still intact as is the black paint in the eyes. These skulls were never marked, though most collectors consider the to be the earliest of TK skulls produced by Deschler. Textbook skull missing from most collections! Of note, these skulls are often referred to as the “eye-less” variant and the eye holes and nasal cavity were never punched out during production.
