Description
The collar tabs of NCOs and EMs are edged with black and white piping. Officer grades wore collar tabs with silver piping. The SS-Sturmbann N was a mounted infantry battalion that was established in 1936 as a ceremonial detachment for NSDAP rallies. The “N” stands for Nürnberg (Nuremberg), as the Sturmbann was garrisoned in that city. This tab is constructed with high quality black wool with silver embroidered runes and ‘N’, the embroidery is tight and textbook construction. The edge piped in silver shows Officer ranks, the tab shows clear signs of once being worn and removed from a uniform. This tab is incredibly rare, these do not pop up on the open market, in my opinion this one of the most uncommon tabs one could add to their collection.
