Description
This is a very clean example bearing the RZM code M7/83 for Pluemacher Sohn, Solingen near the hilt, this is one of the harder makers to encounter. The blade has never been cleaned with all of the cross grain polish remaining, nice letter contrast to the motto, overall this blade is mint. The upper and lower guard with plated fittings on the scabbard are perfect. Nice wood grips with no cracks or chips. The scabbard body retains nearly all of its original paint finish, with some light surface scratches to its finish. Of note, the grip has some movement, I would think from some period shrinking to the wood but could just be loose. I want to leave it as I found it. The scabbard also has a RZM leather hanger which is typically missing. One sharp looking displayable dagger here!
