Description

Very nice example of a U.S. Army model 1942 jump jacket as worn by paratrooper and glider men in Airborne units. Early examples the buttons and belt buckle are made of early brass material. The reverse of the collar has a small snag and the collar is worn, but overall a very solid jacket. The original conair zipper is attached and fully functional, the reverse of the sleeve elbows has added leather reinforcements, I’ve seen this done by many officers in training schools as well as on their walking out jackets for a stylish look, all and all this would be a perfect example for a mannequin combat display, textbook jacket!
