Description
Early pre war flat wire woven style cufftitle with silver wire borders and Thüringen in gothic script. Remains in uniform removed condition and has a killer look! Shows some wear and some slight separation of the silver border due to removal, the original early black cloth RZM tag is still intact. Good looking and sought after cufftitle that was worn on the black Totenkopfverbänd uniform by one of the earliest of SS members!
Note – The 3rd SS-Totenkopfstandarte “Thüringen” was formed by merging SS-Wachsturmbann (Guard Battalion) “Elbe” and SS-Wachsturmmbann “Sachsen”. The members of this regiment were issued cuff titles embroidered with “THÜRINGEN” in gothic script. This cuff title was also worn by the staff of the Commandant of Buchenwald concentration camp.
