Description
Fantastic example of a combat worn M41 pattern Feldbluse in excellent condition. The M41 pattern blouse distinguishes itself from the M40 by having 6 front buttons instead of 5. This model like most encountered has the added dark green collar giving it that early traditional M36 pattern look. The uniform has a set of NCO shoulderboards piped in black for a member of a Pioneer unit, the left breast pocket shows loops for 2 awards, and the inside rayon lining shows sweat stains from heavy use. There are no big damaged spots or repairs, when unbuttoned there are 2 small moth holes that can not be seen when the uniform is buttoned, other than these 2 spots, the tunic is virtually flawless. The factory sewn M40 eagle, collar tabs, and shoulderboards are all original to the uniform and have never been restored. Very hard to find untouched, period combat uniform to an NCO with the rank of Fahnenjunker “Officer Candidate” in a Pioneer regiment.
Note – M41 combat blouses are one of the most sought after, harder to find uniforms in regards to being untouched from the war. One would be hard pressed to find a better example on the open market, this would be perfect for a combat display on a mannequin!
