Description
Fantastic matching wear set of U.S. flight gear worn during the 2nd World War. Unfortunately there was no named attached, but a one looker set of original gear that came home together after the war, these were found 20 min from my house at an estate sale. Oddly the pair of A-6-A leather flight boots are a mismatched pair based off the soles, they are clearly a matched set from the period with perfect matched patina and wear. I have found a few mismatched sets like this in the past, possibly due to needing a replacement, or simply getting gear mixed up after returning from a mission. The leather and straps are still intact, there are no repairs and overall would be a perfect set for a flight mannequin. The boots were also found with an early B-6 flight helmet, these were some of the earliest flight caps used during the war. Overall a great set to display together on a mannequin or in a display case!
