Description

This is a highly detailed, textbook Silesian Eagle 1st Class badge. The badge showcases a beautifully rendered eagle with intricate feather details, holding a crescent and cross in its beak—a symbolic design tied to Silesian heritage. The banner beneath the eagle reads “Für Schlesien”(“For Silesia”). The darkened finish on the tombak base material is perfect and has an untouched layer of patina with a separate inserted crescent banner emblem, the reverse hardware has no damage or repairs. Amazing example that would display perfectly in a display case or in a higher ranking WWII Officer uniform!

Note – The Silesian Eagle was awarded to members of the German right-wing paramilitary group Freikorps Oberland for three or six months of service, as well as for fighting during the Silesian Uprisings during the Weimar Republic.
