Description

Fantastic example of a 1939 dated transitional SA dagger. This dagger is unmolested and uncleaned, pulled directly from the woodwork, this example has never been in a collection before. The scabbard is undented and the grip is tight to the fittings with no chips or damage. The blade has nearly all of the original crossgrain and has never been cleaned, the blade motto is sharp and full as well as the edge has never been sharpened. The reverse ricasso is etched with a double circle with RZM logo in the middle. This circle is placed over the code RZM M7/51 over 1939, this stands for the manufacture Anton Wingen, Jr. of Solingen, their “Standing Knight” trademark logo is below the RZM code and date. The original 1939 dated RZM leather hanger is still attatched to the scabbard as well, overall a fantastic untouched example!
