Description
Very rare, early SS-VT SS-Verfügungstruppe collar tab as worn by an Officer in SS-VT Standarte 2 “Germania.” Constructed of black wool with a buckram core, trimmed with silver wire piping, the obverse bearing dual machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire Sig runes, flanked by a number “2”. This tab shows clear signs of being worn and removed during the period from a uniform. The bullion has some wear, but overall this tab is a great example of a very uncommon piece of early SS insignia.
