Description
Incredible example of a Type 2.1 Anti-Partisan Badge (Bandenkampfabzeichen) in the grade of Silver by C. E. Juncker of Berlin. The badge is constructed out of a die struck, zinc-alloy base that has been silver wash finished. The obverse features a centrally placed downward pointing broad sword, that has a sun wheel swastika to the round crossguard and is plunged into a Hydra consisting of five serpents with skull and crossbones. There is a half oak leaf and acorn wreath to the top. There are three cut-outs in between the snakes. The reverse shows a semi-hollow scooped back with the correct long barrel hinge, soldered on flat wire catch and round wire needle pin this hardware is textbook and has no damage or repairs. This badge shows gorgeous detail with approximately 40% of the silver wash remaining. Amazing, textbook example of the Anti-Partisan badge, very hard to upgrade to a nicer example in the grade of silver!
Note – This variant of the APB with the thin needle pin is much harder to find compared to the already very hard to find badges with the normal fluted type pin.
