Description
The blade on this one looks excellent! The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “Paul Weyersberg & Co., Solingen” maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade overall is very nice, it shows the commonly seen surface scratches throughout. The steel based, black anodized scabbard looks excellent as well. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great. The scabbard/crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap. The reverse of the lower crossguard is correctly marked “OM” (Wartheland). The brown hardwood grip looks good, it shows no major chips and repairs. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. The scabbard and grip has the 3 way hanger that has no tears or damage! A great early SA dagger that rates 8 out of 10 on the McSARR Rarity List of SA dagger makers, with fewer than 1200 produced!
