Description
Very nice example of an early pebbled aluminum belt buckle as worn by Enlisted Men and NCO’s of the “Reichsarbeitsdienst” or R.A.D. (Reich Labor Service.) The R.A.D. was the official militarized state labor service divided into separate sections for men and women. This buckle has no major damage or repairs, the reverse is marked with an “A” and 36, indicating this was produced by the Assman firm and was made in the year of 1936, making this a very early example. The leather tab is still attached and is also faintly marked 1936 with the Assman name. Nice buckle!
