Description
This Heer (Army) officer dagger has the last style fittings used by Eickhorn. The pommel is in good condition, showing minor wear and with a nice patina. The guard also shows no wear and has a patina to match the pommel. The ferrule nicely matches the other fittings. The orange grip is in perfect condition. The scabbard is straight throughout and has a patina that matches the hilt fittings. The pebbling and the carrying bands remain crisp. The thick Eickhorn throat is retained by a single flat head screw in the reverse center. The blade is in mint condition, stamped with the smaller style Eickhorn Squirrel trademark used in 1940. The original leather blade buffer is in place. A very nice basic Eickhorn dagger here.
