Description

Stellar, virtually mint example of a Model 1935 Heer (Army) Officer dagger by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. The blade on this one looks great. The acid etched “Eickhorn Solingen” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The fine crossgrain looks excellent as you turn it in the sun. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates mint with no damage what so ever. The original leather buffer pad remains intact, the steel based nickel-silver plated scabbard is gorgeous with wonderful age patina. It provides great detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands. It remains completely dent free and the original throat retaining screw continues to remain intact. The nickel-silver plated 1st pattern Eickhorn crossguard provides crisp, perfect detail. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The dark orange trylon grip has no damage. This example shows aged patina to the crevasses and has never been in a collection before. You would be hard pressed finding a better example!
