Fantastic field worn looking cap here, the inside shows sweat stains, the outside shows fading from being in the elements/sun, overall not used and abused with a great combat worn look. This cap is produced in doeskin boiled wool, these are seen in visors but M38 caps are seldom seen. The font of the cap has the period sewn insignia consisting of a bullion cockard, as well as a bullion Officer cap eagle with dark blue piping indicating service in the Heer (Army) Medical Corps. The eagle has great detail and blends in perfectly with the rest of the caps insignia as it should. This cap truly has the right amount of wear one would like to see on a period worn piece with no major damage or flaws.
