Description
Great example of a M1937 2nd Model Luftwaffe dagger by Carl Julius Krebs of Solingen. Carl Julius Krebs is one of the few manufacturer’s who took the extra process step of plating their blades, as opposed to polishing them. It has a perfect tip and solid fit. The plating looks great as well, giving it a nice mirror like finish! The blade on this one is in Excellent Condition. There is some very faint runner marks. The original brown leather pebbled buffer pad remains intact. The steel based plated scabbard looks excellent! It depicts awesome details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and the two headless retaining screws remain intact!. The burnished aluminum hand enhanced Luftwaffe eagle cross guard has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side oak leaves and acorns. The dagger has the Officer portepee knot still attached. The cream colored grip is undamaged and tight to the detailed aluminum fittings, overall a fantastic example to a sought after manufacture.
