Description
Here is one of the best camouflage helmets I have ever had the chance to offer. This M35 Luftwaffe combat helmet started it’s life as an ET62 double decal helmet, early during the war, it had a dark blue layer of paint, and an amazing splotch applied “turtle shell” layer of tan colored camouflage paint. The tan/yellow paint was applied with some material mixed in, giving it a thick chunky texture. The inside shows the early unreinforced square bale liner, the liner is in fantastic shape and still has the original draw string, as well as the early leather LBA marked chinstrap. The rim shows the soldiers last name painted in white and the marking of ET62, indicating the manufacturing company of Eisenhuttenwerke ThaleĀ and the size of 62. Based off the inside rim wear, and the shape of a wear mark on top of the helmet, I believe this may have even had a wire netting at some point in it’s life! I can not stress how visually appealing and highly displayable this helmet is, if someone only wanted to add one camo helmet to their collections, this would be a very hard one to pass up!
