Great looking Luftwaffe EM/NCO Overseas Cap by ALMI (Alfred Mies, Luxemburg).Cap is constructed out of a multi piece blue-grey wool construction with a blue-grey cotton inlay and a two-piece insignia that has all been stitched together with white cotton stitching. The obverse features a white machine embroidered second pattern Luftwaffe eagle on a blue-grey wool backing. The eagle is above a machine embroidered tri-color cockade on a blue-grey wool backing. The insignia is well worn and originally sewn to the cap. The cap shows light age discoloration and thread loss throughout yet has no major mothing holes, soiling or tears. The interior is stamped, in black ink: “ALMI Uniform und Mützen Luxemburg” (Alfred Mies Uniform and Cap Luxemburg) and is dated 1941 and sized “54”. A fine looking maker marked example by a non German manufacture!
