Description
This is a scarce and desirable Kyffhäuserbund armband for a board member of a local chapter of the “N.S.-Reichskriegerbund Kyffhäuser e.V.,” a German organization for war veterans. It features a Bevo machine woven patch with the 1937-43 pattern NS-RKB emblem (an Iron Cross with Nazi swastika, on a red shield), machine stitched to a blue wool fabric armband. Behind this Bevo patch, and running the length of the armband, is a strip of silver wire rank Tresse, indicating the leadership position of “Beirat” in the Kyffhäuserbund organization. The armband has been worn, and is hand sewn together on the reverse, probably by the NS-RKB member himself, for fitting it to a uniform sleeve.
