Description
Any piece with Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler’s signature is collectible, this example though is on his official letter head as seen in the top left corner, the context of the letter is the most interesting part. This letter was sent to the head of the race and resettlement office regarding the expulsion of SS-Untersturmführer Eberhard von Thadden regarding him wanting to get married and the findings showing he had Jewish blood, Himmler seemed angered and wanted him back into the SS allowing him to be married. The bottom of the letter shows the textbook signature of Himmler with great detail and nicely centered! Fantastic and historical document here!
Note – Eberhard von Thadden (1909-1964 ) was an NSDAP and SS member, he was also the assistant of the Judenreferat under Franz Rademacher at the Foreign Office, during his service he prepared the deportation of Jews from Slovenia. After the war in 1962 he was a key witness against Adolf Eichmann helping send him to the gallows. Shortly after Thadden was killed in a car accident.
