Very nice example of a World War 2 Imperial Japanese Army flight helmet for a pilot, we know this is for a pilot as the caps they wore had the goggle straps snap behind the ear cups, bomber crew examples would snap directly to the ear cup it self.. This helmet produced in leather is very supple and very clean, the inside is lined in rabbit fur indicating use in cold weather conditions. The inside of the ear cups shows the seldom seen original removable felt cup inserts, one of the cups shows the manufacturing stamps. This is a textbook flight clap with no damage or repairs!
