Description

Was fortunate to find this and have a good friend who was able to identify this Wehrpass. This Wehrpass was for Rudolf Keuchel who was born 10-29-1920, he came from Bochum and entered service into the 3rd battalion of the Waffen-SS Totenkopf Infantry Regiment on 10-15-1940 Breslau. He would stay fighting with this regiment until 6-1-1941 when he was attached as a Pioneer to the 16th SS Regiment Germania on the Eastern Front, this regiment was part of the Wiking Division. After only 6 months of fighting he would be mortally wounded in Russia during combat operations on 12-25-1941 by I.G.K. – Infanteriegeschoss Kopf (infantry round to the head,) he is buried in Amwrosijiwka, Ukraine prepared by the Volksbund. An incredibly rare and identified Wehrpass to a true combat member who was killed in action on the Eastern Front while a member of the Totenkopf Division!
