Fresh out of a veterans estate is this fantastic Schutzpolizei (Protection Police) Uniform Grouping to a Major in the city of Berlin. The uniform shows some wear but overall is in great condition, the left sleeve shows the police sleeve eagle with the name Berlin over the top indicating this man was stationed in Berlin. The patch is period sewn to the sleeve though a couple stitches have come loose on the bottom. The shoulders show 2 originally sewn shoulderboards lined in green for the rank of Major. One of these shoulderboards have come loose due to being stored on a hanger for countless years, the green is still sewn to the uniform, the silver Russian braid has come loose from this, it could easily be fixed with 2 stitches, though I will leave this up to the next owner, the uniform displays fine on a mannequin or laid out. The uniform when found was also found with the original green piped straight leg trousers, these trousers are nicely marked with some light staining and just a few small moth nips. Overall this set would look great on a uniform, to find a set like this directly from a U.S veterans estate is so hard to do these days!
