Description
Fantastic cutoff piece of insignia, removed from an armband for a member of the D.D.A.C. (Der Deutsche Automobile Club). This was the German party-controlled auto club, similar to our AAA. This was founded in 1933 when motoring was still considered an elite affair. All embroidered patch nicely worn, sewn to a piece of black wool. Originally this would have been attached to a members armband, later to be cut out by a liberating U.S veteran. Great looking piece!
