Description
This Heer (Army) Officer dagger set is in fine condition throughout and is a textbook Paul Weyersberg & Co. example. The pommel, ferrule and guards remain in very nice condition, with a fine patina over the silvering. The grip is a perfectly conditioned lighter cream/white color. The scabbard is a very nice example having all of its silvering, crisp bands, and good pebbling with no dents or damage. The blade is a beautiful nickel plated example and would be in mint condition with plenty of original cross grain remaining, the blade is stamped on the reverse ricasso with the Paul Weyersberg & Co. Solingen in double ovals around the firms trademark “Sword-and-Wreath” logo, which was the only marking they used during the NSDAP era. The dagger still has the original silver portepee knot attached to the grip, the scabbard also has a beautiful pair of dagger hangers still attached as well. Just a fantastic and textbook complete Weyersberg & Co. dagger set here by a rather popular manufacture!
