Description

Amazing, and rare set of early M36 Heer (Army) shoulder boards for a member of Enlisted Man in the 6th Schützen regiment in a Panzer division. Mint, unissued set constructed of dark green wool with rosa pink piping for Panzer (armored) troops. The embroidery on the gothic ‘S’ and number 6 are very sharp and highly detailed. Finding sets like this are rare, finding mint, unissued examples are nearly impossible to find!

Note – When Germany first introduced Motorized Infantry in the 1930s those regiments that were the Infantry component of the Panzer Divisions, prior to being known as Panzer Grenadiers (from 1942), were termed ‘Schützen Regimenter’ (organized into ‘Schützen Brigaden’)  Overall this set is fantastic, with matching wear and clear signs of being field worn. Truly a rare set to find these days!
