Description
Wonderful early set of collar tabs as worn by Enlisted Men in the SS-Totenkopfverbände (Deaths Head Unit). There are clear sings of being worn, and later removed from a uniform. The bullion is tight and nicely detailed, the reverse shows no RZM paper tag but there is signs one was there originally, the rank tab shows one strip of tress indicating the rank of SS-Sturmmann. Fantastic set of early SS insignia here!
Note – The origins of the 3rd SS-Panzer-Division “Totenkopf” can be traced back to the formation of the SS-Wachverbände, (SS-Guard Units) in March 1933 which was re-designated, SS-Totenkopfverbände, (SS-Death’s Head Units), on March 29th 1936. The SS-Wachverbände began to wear the distinctive Death’s head collar tabs
