Wonderful World War 2 uniform grouping to Sgt. Warren Harding Mumford army serial #33890342. Sgt. Harding was a member if the 78th Infantry “Lightning Division”, 311th Infantry Regiment, Company D. He is listed in the regimental history roster in their unit history. The grouping consists of his original ike jacket with his 311th unit insignia on the collar, dog tags, ID bracelet with his information with dedication from his wife, undershirt, pants, and tie.

Warren H. Mumford was born on May 20, 1921 in Bishopville, PA and was the son of the Curtis and Eva Kate Mumford. He was a 1938 graduate of Buckingham High School and then joined his brothers, Charles, Isaiah, William and Dale at Mumford Sheet Metal Works that Charles started in 1933. He would enlist and served in World War II in the Army and went from Italy to Germany in with the Timber Wolf Regiment of the 78th Lightning Division. He was discharged on June 6, 1946 and married, Agnes Long on December 28, 1946. After the war Sgt. Mumford would live a long and happy life until the age of 99 years old on October 2nd, 2020, his loyal wife Agnes by his side…
