Description
Very nice example of an early Luftwaffe M35 Double Decal helmet. Shell skirt is marked with the batch number 4730 with Q64 for the Quist firm and the large size of 64. The helmet has 2 very nice sharp full decals, the top of the helmet shows a small dent with some period wear. The inside liner shows its age with a ripped leather tongue, though the rest of the leather is supple. The draw string is post war added, more than likely by the veteran who brought it home. The leather chinstrap is unmarked but has clearly been on the helmet a long time. Overall this is a fantastic helmet that looks great while displayed, these early double decal variants are getting very hard to find on the open market.
